[sudo] gem install zurb-foundation error

I'm trying to prepare to use SCSS...

I'm on a mac and in my terminal I put in "[sudo] gem install zurb-foundation"

I got this message...

[sudo] npm install -g bower grunt-cli

How do I install the foundation gem?

Did you try without sudo?

Ok. In this case install NodeJS(r). http://nodejs.org
Then type what you have done.
Done!

Downloading NodeJS didn't help.

I get this...

dustin-pearces-macbook-pro:~ pearce$ [sudo] gem install zurb-foundation
-bash: [sudo]: command not found

dustin-pearces-macbook-pro:~ pearce$ gem install zurb-foundation
ERROR: While executing gem ... (Gem::FilePermissionError)

I'm having the very same issue. I think it might be an issue with Mavericks OS X and the Ruby version I'm running. I'd be curious if anyone else has some advice...I've tried updating Ruby through rvm.io but that failed as well. Do I need to change some permissions/security settings on my computer?

I know the post is kinda old but saw it searching for another error problem. Take the brackets off sudo so it's just "sudo gem install zurb-foundation".

Jessie is right and I would add, do the Libsass method so you do not have a Ruby 1.9+ dependancy.
