Adding components after custom build

Hello!

I have been looking through the DOCS for an answer but I could not seem to find what I was looking for..hopefully this question isn't too ridiculous.

I downloaded a Custom version of Foundation 5 to build my website. I included various components but I was wondering if I could add other needed pieces later. For instance: I want to now use the 'progress bar' component but I did not initially select it with my download. How can I included it now? Is it possible? I would really appreciate any help!

Thanks in Advance

Howdy!

Welcome to Foundation!

Unfortunately I don't think it is possible to do it easily with Foundation's CSS code. Once the whole stylesheet is compiled and you download it you will have to find the specific CSS code for each component then place it in the correct place within the document.

With Foundation's JS components this is a lot easier because all the JS components are in separate JS files. However with foundation.min.js I believe you will have minify that yourself should you add more JS components.

If you use Foundation with SCSS, the SCSS partials allow you to add and take away components as you please. Check out these pages for more details about SASS/SCSS:

Thanks a lot for your through and very helpful reply! I did a lot of research and figured that I couldn't add on anything else. But I had to be sure.

It looks like I have some learning to do as far as SASS/SCSS. I really appreciate the links as well.

Be well my friend.
