Can't compile Foundation5 SASS through corporate firewall

I'm trying to get Foundation 5 SASS version installed and working behind a corporate firewall/ proxy server on Windows 7.

Having failed to get this working with Foundation 4, we were looking at using the SASS standalone approach but as this doesn't seem to be available for Foundation 5 (yet?) I persevered with banging my head against the firewall.

After too much time and frustration I found a GIT resource post which seemed to work and let me perform 'foundation new MY_PROJECT' without errors. The magic command was:

git config --global url."https://".insteadOf git://

I carried on to install Prepros to compile and build the installed SASS files to CSS and that's where everything went south - again.

Syntax error: File to import not found or unreadable: foundation.

Foundation is listed as a local gem so I'm wondering if this is the firewall getting in the way again.

Is this the case?
Is there a way to replicate the git https bypass in the config.rb file?
Is there a standalone SASS version of Foundation 5 on the horizon?

Help me Obi Wan Kenobi - You're my only hope.
