F6.5: Reveal tries to put data-open triggers in focus when closing

I have a set of Reveal popups that can be opened from multiple places (i.e. multiple elements have the same data-open value). I'm on Foundation 6.5.

I'm making a cinema program, so I have Reveal modals for each film, that can be triggered either from a cinema program or a list of films. Both of these are using a 3rd party carousel plugin (Swiper).

The Reveal modals open correctly, but when closing them I get weird behaviour which causes the program and film list to be jumbled in what looks like an attempt to have corresponding data-open attribute in focus on the page.

This means that if I open a Reveal from the list of movie posters, and that film doesn't happen to be in today's program, the whole program carousel will be shifted until a carousel slide with the corresponding film is in focus. It doesn't actually paginate the carousel, it kind of just shifts the whole carousel until the corresponding film is in focus somehow.

Is there any way to prevent this, and let it simply close the Reveal, stay at the same scroll position, and otherwise leave the page as-is?
