Image added as attachment instead of in email body

Hey there,

Any idea what could be the reason that an image is being displayed as an attachment when Mailchimp sends it, but looks fine (within the email body) locally when I use "npm run build" and see it in the browser?

Am I missing something?

    <row>
        <columns small="12">
            <a target="_blank" href="https://youtu.be/SomeLinkToYoutubeVideo">
                <img src="https://www.myWebsite.com/images/someImageOfAFlower.png" alt="Lily Flower">
            </a>
        </columns>
    </row>

Help would be much appreciated :)

There's a good chance that since you are linking to a youtube video and opening the email in gmail (I'm guessing) that it looks like a video is attached to your email with a thumbnail of that image or a thumbnail of the video.

Also - this is just the inky code correct? You're sending the file in that gets compiled from the dist folder right? Sorry, I don't know your level of expertise, so hope you don't find that question insulting.

Thank you for your reply.

No insult taken :)

I'm a Web Developer.

Seems like the problem was solved after I put the <columns> tag right after <row> tag.

I didn't know it's a must, since I thought if I want to use the entire row, it's ok to drop the columns tag.
