flex grid support

I'm interested in flexgrid specifically for its vertical alignement properties, I was wondering what happens if I use flexgrid in a browser that doesn't support it.

Let's say I specified to align middle in flexgrid on an older browser would they simply line up at the top as it would in the regular foundation grid? Or does the whole grid break?

If you use a flex property on a browser that doesn't support it, like IE9, then it will fallback automatically to a default value. So if you use flex align-items for example, the older browser will ignore it and position it to the top.
