SCSS validation with Visual Studio, or ...

I'm new to Sass and Foundation. When I attempted to edit my Foundation 6 _settings.scss file using Visual Studio Code v1.7.1, I discovered that Visual Studio Code doesn't understand the SCSS map syntax yet. It gives false errors. There is no road map from Microsoft as to when they might add this functionality. See: https://github.com/Microsoft/vscode/issues/1758.

Does anyone have a preferred SCSS extension for Visual Studio Code, or the full Visual Studio IDE? If so, and you have the time, it would be helpful to learn what you're using and what steps you took to install it and make it work.

Feel free to broaden your response to whatever your favorite Foundation development environment is. Although in my project I also have to edit ASP.NET Razor views.

Thank you.

To clarify, I'm attempting to use the Visual Studio [Code] editor only for edit-time SCSS validation. I'm using the Foundation CLI and its automated build features for generating the final CSS.

This has been fixed in Visual Studio Code v1.9.

Visual Studio Code now has SCSS map syntax support:

https://code.visualstudio.com/updates/v1_9#_scss-map-support

We can now view ZURB Foundation 6 SCSS files in Visual Studio Code without seeing any false errors. At least none that I'm currently aware of.
