Block Grid - how do I achieve this effect?

I want to use the Block Grid to achieve the split screen effect, that happens to be full width and totally responsive.

I pulled this effect off in Foundation 5 using the Block Grid (here - http://bit.ly/1Y82OJw - scroll to the "Featured Case Studies" section). But in Foundation 6, the Block Grids are different. I'm not sure how to pull it off.

In F6 block grids, they're contained within a container. If I delete the div="row" class, they're not in the container anymore -- but the block grid just simply doesn't work at all if you do that.

How can I pull this off in F6?
