Version 4 to 5 upgrade

I'm starting to regret attempting this ... but I have tried upgrading a project from V4 to V5 and it is currently a big pile of mess!

I installed NodeJS and Bower and tried following the instructions here http://foundation.zurb.com/docs/upgrading.html

I have an SCSS folder with an app.scss file - at the top I had @import "settings" which didn't work so I changed it to @import "foundation/settings" which seems to (at least, app.css builds).

The upgrade instructions say to add ... is that correct or should it point to the JS in the bower_components folder?

In my "Scripts" folder (js) I currently have a "foundation" and "vendor" folder ... are these no longer required? Do I have to have the foundation JS in the "bower_components" folder? Why couldn't it be in my "Scripts" folder?

Is there a better way to upgrade ... can I just delete everything V4 related and install V5 fresh? Any changes I have made are contained in a "settings_override.scss" file.

THE UPGRADING PROCESS IS JUST A SHAME.

WHY IT IS NOT JUST SIMPLE AND CLEAR ???

<blockquote>"The upgrade instructions say to add <script src="/js/vendor/jquery.js"></script> ... is that correct or should it point to the JS in the bower_components folder?"</blockquote>

As long as you are including jquery from somewhere, and before your include the foundation js, it doesn't really matter where you get it from.

Since this post, there has been some updates added to the upgrade page: http://foundation.zurb.com/docs/upgrading.html

Is this a compass project? If so, we have made upgrading easier with compass. The command is 'foundation new'.

cd ~/Sites/PROJECT_NAME
foundation upgrade

You should have separate folders for JS, CSS, and SASS.

If this doesn't help please provide a zip of your project se we can see whats happening.
