how to start using the framework and deploy the first project

Hi,

I want start using the framework foundation for sites but after reading the DOCS (http://foundation.zurb.com/sites/docs/installation.html) I got confused:

Why I should use a package manager to download a bunch of html, css and javascript file?
Or is there something else in the pile?

I'm working on windows and I know what are more or less html, css and javascript, but I'm new to frontend framework.

Thanks for your attention.

Easy way. http://foundation.zurb.com/sites/download.html/

Choose Custom Download to get latest 6.1.1

Download Everything was giving 6.0.5, not sure if it is fixed.

I can totally relate to your quandry.

That said, I highly recommend you use the basic zurb template with SASS.

F6 is a lot lighter, but there is still a lot of CSS to comb through.

SASS makes it much easier to customize the framework, because the defaults are all gathered in the _settings.scss file. It's much easier to maintain too.

Hopefully YETI for Windows will be out soon.
