Using Sites components on Apps?

I'm getting started on a project to create a dashboard with Foundation Apps. However, Sites has some components that I need in this Apps project. Can you bring in components from Sites into Apps and vice versa? And how would you do that?

Also, how can you tell the difference between the components that both Apps and Sites have? (ex: Label, Menu, Tabs, Button, Forms, etc.)

We'd be curious to know what components from Sites you wanted to use in Apps.

I'd say that you can probably add any CSS components straight in. The JS components need jQuery so you'd need to add a dependancy.

Hi Rafi,

Thanks for your reply! I am working on building a dashboard and then using Rails instead of Angular.

The following are the components available in Sites that I would like to use in Apps. I understand some have similar functions or different names in each framework.

  • Top bar menu (I think Apps has something similar)
  • Responsive Navigation
  • Dropdown Menu (I think Apps uses action sheet)
  • Pagination
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Table
  • Progress Bar
  • Tooltip
  • Form validation (this is a big one)

This is another conversation I started with another developer: https://github.com/zurb/foundation-apps/issues/745#issuecomment-165386064

Thanks!
