We do it on our marketing site.

We use visibility classes <nav class="top-bar docs-bar hide-for-small" data-topbar>
and
<nav class="tab-bar show-for-small">

It's the same solution of the link I posted, but it implies menu duplication (I mean, in the html source): don't it?

What is wrong with menu duplication then, you can have as many links pointing to the same page as you like, google will not see this as bad practice.

Yes, I've realized it now. Thank you very much. Another little question, don't know if I should open another thread for this but I try:

In docs, I see show-for- and hide-for classes only ending with -up or -only

Instead, I see you use (and me too..) also classes not ending with -up or -only, es. .show-for-small

Are they maybe going to be deprecated?
