Duplicate Styles / Huge css file

I'm trying to finalize the SASS/CSS for a big project, and am seeing many instances of styles from global.scss in the complied css. It's making the file size huge. Using Foundation 5.5 and compiling with Mindscape Web Workbench in VS2013. Any suggestions for eliminating the duplicate styles?

You shouldn't have the same styles duplicated unless maybe there is a Sass version issue. What version of Sass are you using? Compass or Libsass?

Foundation 5.5 / Compass

There was some versioning issues with Sass when they deprecated certain functions, especially one that was checking to make sure imports weren't repeated. It was around the time of Foundation 5.5.0.

Upgrading Sass and Compass should resolve it, Sass 3.4 and Compass 1.0

Actually, this solved my problem: http://foundation.zurb.com/forum/posts/24473-foundation-css-loads--before-after-pseudo-elements-too-many-times . We're using a NuGet package to import Foundation, and apparently it didn't have the correct version of functions.scss.

Hey Leanne,

We just updated our CSS tool, that removes duplicates and more: http://rbtech.github.io/css-purge
