This is a newbie question.

Can anyone tell me what the '1000x400' means in this context?

Can someone answer a newbie question for me. I've no Idea what '1000x400&text=Slide Image'. Particularly the '1000x400' portion means.

Can anyone help?

Hey Laurence!

The img src is using an image from an image placeholder service called Placehold.it.

The first number is the width of the image
The second number is the height of the image
&text= specifies that some custom text wants to be placed on the image, in this case it is "Slide Image".

Placehold.it is a great service to use dummy images for sites in development.

to add a picture you must add also a width and height to the code .
