Migration guide Sites 5 > Apps?

Hi,

The Foundation for Apps is looking really promising! And we would love to use it for our application.
At the moment we are using Foundation for sites 5.x in our Ruby on Rails application, but we would love to migrate to Apps.

I know we have to replace all javascript components with the angular/javascript ones from Apps and of course the grid system is completely different.

Is there gonna be a migration guide available? Or do you have any quick tips? Which could help us?

We envisioned the two frameworks to be used for different purposes. If you already built a web app on the Sites version, I can see how that would be useful. Maybe if we understand what you need, we can work together to develop a migration guide.

You can use jQuery together with Foundation for Apps. There has been a package made with both frameworks mixed - https://github.com/RelutionDev/foundationUltra

There is a rails version as well - https://github.com/rlafranchi/foundation-apps-rails

If you have specific questions, we're happy to advise.

Thanks for your reply.

I'll look into those frameworks and I'll try some migration myself and see if and where I get into trouble.
