Flex Video and YouTube Analytics

Hi all,

I'm serving videos on YouTube using Flex Video in a Reveal Modal window on our website http://www.2MinuteExplainer.com . All seems to work as expected. But I'd like to capture more YouTube analytics, and, as I understand it, this requires Javascript that calls up the YouTube player, rather than the standard iframe embed. I haven't been able to find any suggestions, code, or examples online for modifying the Flex Video js for this purpose, -- so I thought I'd ask here before tackling it myself.

Flex video is just CSS, no JS. Not sure if you're referring to another plugin?

See [ https://developers.google.com/youtube/iframe_api_reference ] for reference/info.

Old, but might help explain [ http://www.lunametrics.com/blog/2012/10/22/automatically-track-youtube-videos-events-google-analytics/ ].

Yes, you have to call/initiate the YT video via script parameters which loads the embed into a div... but bet you could still wrap the container div in another "flex-video" div. All called in from a modal.

Good luck!
