Updated to 5.4.6, styles not included in app.css for Compass build

Followed Sass instructions, Foundation/Git CLI does not work for "foundation new MY_PROJECT" or "bundle" or "bundle exec compass watch".

The Sass upgrade statement is confusing.

On Windows and have tried following the instructions multiple times. Everything worked pre 5.4.5. The Foundation Sass instructions page doesn't work for me on Windows. I have tried following several times.

I can run Compass thru Cmd Prompt with Ruby, but 5.4.6 styles are not included.

Thru Cmd Prompt w/ Ruby:

node v0.10.29
Sass 3.4.5
Bower 1.3.12

Grunt and Foundation error out in Ruby prompt.

foundation -v
DL is deprecated, please use Fiddle
Could not find command "_v".

Foundation (Git Bash) CLI

$compass watch
sh.exe": compass" command not found

bower update does work in Foundation CLI

Any ideas on how to get Foundation CLI working again for Compass?

I just tested and it worked well.

Do you have compass installed? Gem install compass

While you wait for a proper fix, the following might help.

It did help me.

1 - Open _functions.scss in the foundation/components folder.

2 - find the mixin as shown below, it is near the top

@mixin exports($name) {
  @if (index($modules, $name) == false) {
     $modules: append($modules, $name);
    @content;
    }
 }

This is the error problem.

3 - Change the block of code to:

@mixin exports($name) {
   @if(not index($modules, $name)) {
    $modules: append($modules, $name);
    @content;
    }
 }

4 - Run compass watch or rebuild your CSS file in the usual way.

This will result in all the usual Foundation included components being included and your CSS file will not balloon. Mine went from 37k to 175k. which is about what I would have expected, perhaps a little smaller, but everything seems to be working correctly.

I hope this helps.

We also had this problem with Compass builds -- We've switched most of our Foundation projects to libsass to avoid the problems, but had one project that needed Compass.

The fix above corrects the missing styles problem, but does bloat the app.css file, making it impossible to work with in Safari developer tools.

Have you installed bundler?

sudo gem install bundler

should give you the bundle command.
