Screen Size Compatibility Issues

So I was told to try out this Foundation framework because I am a novice coder trying to make my own website. I used the Foundation html and css frameworks to great effect on my computer and I made an awesome looking website, however, when I tried my code on a different computer, the main content was squished because it couldn't fit on the smaller screen size. (the banner/logo and footer were fine)

Basically, when told about Foundation, I was under the impression that their html and css frameworks were already set up to work on any device and any size screen.

Is there more that I have to add in order to make my website compatible with all other browsers and devices?

If there are more steps I have to take, I would appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction.

Howdy!

Welcome to Foundation and the Forum!

Could you post a link to the site in development? It'd help us take a look at what the problem is and provide a targetted solution.

My website hasn't been put on the internet or any other servers yet. It's all just code within my C Drive. When I open it on other computers, I just use a flash drive to transfer the folder and open it through there.

I don't know how to link you the site but if you tell me how I would gladly do so. I don't know if uploading the folder would work but if it does I'll try that.

Also, I haven't hardly touched any of the foundation.css. The only things I changed were the background-image and some text colors. I haven't messed with any of the media queries or height/widths of anything which is why I'm having trouble understanding why my content is distorted on other computers.

Update: I wrote the code on a 1366 x 768 (32 bit) resolution. The website works on larger resolutions, but is squished on smaller resolution screens. Also, the website reads fine on all other browsers except for the older versions of Internet Explorer. What do I have to do to fix it so that it works on old IE?

Use CodePen to recreate your site there. Then you can post a link to the Pen and I'll take a look.

IE support for Foundation only goes as far as IE9/10 +. For older versions of IE, try searching the forum for a solution.
