Foundation vs 62.5% font size rule

I want to be able to use the 62.5% for fonts that enables to easily assign/translate rem to px. Like for example 1.5rem = 15px.

when I set that in the foundation settings file, the grid gets small.

I have seen some posts here in the forum (http://foundation.zurb.com/forum/posts/17410-font-size-625) about the issue but without a real/final fix :(

Any ideas or do you think this is a bad habit?

If you choose to change the base font size, you need to change the max-width of the row. It is meant to control the layout as well.

There are settings for font-size:

// We use these to style paragraphs
// $paragraph-font-family: inherit;
// $paragraph-font-weight: $font-weight-normal;
// $paragraph-font-size: 1rem;
// $paragraph-line-height: 1.6;
// $paragraph-margin-bottom: rem-calc(20);
// $paragraph-aside-font-size: rem-calc(14);
// $paragraph-aside-line-height: 1.35;
// $paragraph-aside-font-style: italic;
// $paragraph-text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;
