Menu icon Foundation
$ appearing in _settings.scss where # should be?

Here's a sample screenshot I took to show what i'm talking about..

Whenever I uncomment any of these lines compass throws an error

error scss/app.scss (Line 100 of scss/_settings.scss: Undefined variable: "$white".)

Is this normal? Is this how things are by default???

I'm finding it extremely stressfull trying to use this, I've been at it since 8am and so far I've done nothing on my site.

Can anybody offer any advice?

I would normally write everything out manually and would have had a site built by now if I was doing things my old way but wanting to move with the times and people telling me I need to be using sass now, I've decided to give it a go but so far it is making my brain hurt, i've been a web developer since 2002!

This probably addresses the issue you brought up. https://github.com/zurb/foundation/commit/a80cb3d77ec4974068944a770ac9c872c1f49513

Just move your color definitions in settings above the variable you uncommented. This change is coming out in the next release soon.
