Unable to get SASS working

I have performed the following steps at this page http://foundation.zurb.com/docs/sass.html multiple times.

I cannot get the step "Using Foundation With Compass" to work at all.

I open my command prompt in windows and type "foundation new template" at the directory were I want that project created (I have tried multiple directories) and I get the following message below.

'foundation' is not recognized as an internal or external command.

So I tried to run the same command "foundation new template" using the Command prompt using Ruby and I then get a different message below.

Can't find git. You can install it going here: http://git-scm.com

I have installed the following below with no issues.
- git
- nodejs
- ruby 1.9+

Please help!!!

You might have a path issue. Have you used GIT, Ruby successfully from your windows machine before? Did you install GIT from that URL? Usually on Windows it loads a program called GIT Bash which is a command line tool with some added linux functionality-- you could try your commands in GIT Bash. I would try installing bower and grunt like in the Docs from GIT Bash too.

If all else fails, I'd just reinstall Rails (which includes Ruby) and GIT by using http://railsinstaller.org/ -- it installs a few major dev programs for Windows pretty easily. After that you just need to install Node.js first and make sure the command "npm install" can be found in GIT Bash and then run the commands in the Foundation DOCS to install bower and grunt.

Hi Chris,

I have never used GIT before. But I did type in the commands from the site using GIT Bash and did not have any issues doing so. My problem comes down to getting "foundation new MY_Project" to work. Of course I don't use "MY_Project" I use a different name.

I did reinstall Rails and I did get GIT from the URL but still no success.
