@atelier you need to run 'npm install' and 'bower install' in the app folder. These are command line commands. You will also need npm command line tool installed and the same with bower command line tool

I think that Motion UI css is needed here. Altought I don't know why this is organised that way. I tought that Motion UI is separated library.

You should probably check which version of node Sass you are running...

by the way... is it true that Foundation 6 don't need normalize css? So why there is a normalize.scss in the repo here: https://github.com/zurb/foundation-sites/tree/develop/scss/vendor and why not use normalize?

You should also include Foundation components or everything according the docs: http://foundation.zurb.com/sites/docs/sass.html#adjusting-css-output You should have something like:

@import "setting/settings";
@import "foundation";

@include foundation-everything;

or you can chose only what you need like:

@import "setting/settings";
@import "foundation";

@include foundation-global-styles;
@include foundation-grid;
@include foundation-typography;
@include foundation-button;
@include foundation-forms;
// And so on...

Yeah, I think there is a need for some well promoted, good article(s) (or videos, not only the docs), about working in such environment. Because many people goes from the ground where there is only css and js folders + html static files. This whole 'starter kits' and templates workflow is the area where Foundation shines and it is a real 'foundation' for any project. At least for me. This is the complete frond-end workflow and it needs to be promoted. I am glad that you have released Yeti Launch too. This is a win :) But still, I think that this kind of workflows need to be strongly promoted. I mean command line workflow and your Apps at the same time... I am sure that for some this kind of knowledge is very obvious but I think for majority it isn't :)
