Hey Scott
Sorry I missed your followup.
I cant quite work out exactly what you are trying to based on the site plus the screenshots. It looks like small/large screens are working correctly.
You just need to have an off canvas on medium - is that right? If you could confirm and I'll try to help.

Hi Keke
As Troy said, a CodePen example would really help. Failing that can you give me an idea of what you are trying to achieve?
Then I can try and help you get it working.

I think the problem here is you are trying to use a dropdown menu where its really not suitable (in my opinion). You would be much better off using the drilldown or accordion menu components for the menu within the off canvas.
Here's the docs for the drilldown: http://foundation.zurb.com/sites/docs/drilldown-menu.htmlAnd accordion menu: http://foundation.zurb.com/sites/docs/accordion-menu.html

Hi Chris
So it's the same problem as your first example. The data toggle on the button needs to match the ID of the off canvas.
Here's an updated example: https://jsfiddle.net/dqhpwu4x/

Hey Chris
So I forked your fiddle: https://jsfiddle.net/tdvpakkp/As you can see thats working now.
You will see that I have removed the inline CSS/JS and just added them via external links (on the left).
There was a few errors that I noticed. Your CSS had no styles for off canvas in it, hence why it looked unstyled. There was also no jQuery and Foundation wasn't being initialized.
Where did you get your JS/CSS from? Did you compile it yourself?
Let me know if that helps.

Hi Chris
Lets see if we can get this working for you.Firstly, is your code online anywhere?
So looking at your latest code I can see one error. The ID of the off canvas panel needs to match the data-toggle of the button.
You need to change your button code to:
<button type="button" class="button" data-toggle="offCanvas">Open Menu</button>
Could you try that and let me know if that works?

Hi KaiI'm glad you like the newest version. You are right in that a panel needs to be outside of the content in order to initiate a transition for the push option - thats actually how the original was supposed to work too, though there was obviously ways around it. There were a few reasons for this, but I understand why you want to do what you say, and feedback is helpful to shape it going forward.
I am however working on an option in the JS to allow you to target what content will be transitioned, but I'm afraid this wont be ready for a little while (not sure if such a change would be allowed in a 6.3.1 release or if it would need to wait until 6.4).
If you could give more details on how you would normally use your off-canvas that would be really useful so I can make improvements.

Hi snarf1974
What version of Foundation are you using on the site? Version 6.3 launched yesterday, along with a completely re-written version of off-canvas that I put together.
I can definately help you get this sorted, but version of off-canvas prior to 6.3 were a bit on the buggy side.

@Alexandru The link that Ryan shared should of been this: http://foundation.zurb.com/forum/posts/49868-new-improved-off-canvas-in-foundation-63
Version 6.3 should be out today and I'm confident this should fix any issues you have. Let me know if you need any help though.

Thanks Ryan and Rafi! I think it turned out great in the end, after a lot of work.
If you need any help with it Troy just let me know - there's a lot more options with it now!
