  • Custom Off-Canvas Icon

    By Jeremy Englert

    off-canvas

    If you view the mobile version of this website, you will notice two things: http://thecitizensbankphila.com/ 1. They use a custom off-canvas menu icon. 2. They don't have the menu icon in the tab-bar class. I looked at the code, but whenever I try... (continued)

  • jQuery and IE8 - Almost?

    By Jeremy Englert

    IEie8

    We all know that one of the reasons Foundation 5 isn't IE8-friendly is because it runs jQuery 2 which does not support IE8. However, I have been testing Foundation 5 with jQuery 1.7.x and have had good results, as seen here: http://mcfaddengavender.net/d... (continued)

If you disable emoji support in WordPress, the arrow will look better. The emoji support in WP causes the arrow in Orbit to use an emoji arrow opposed to an HTML arrow.

You can use a plugin or code a function to remove emoji support.

This is caused by an issue with an older version of JointsWP. Essentially, there was a few extra spaces in a functions.php file that was adding extra junk to the URL of enqueued assets.

A fix an full details can be found here: https://github.com/JeremyEnglert/JointsWP/issues/164

You can add the "expanded" class to your menu to evenly space the menu items.

Something along the lines of this should work:

.dropdown.menu .is-dropdown-submenu-parent.is-right-arrow > a::after {
    transform: rotate(90deg);
}

Yup! You'll add rows/columns (and other Foundation components) just like you would with a static HTML website.

If you're looking to add content to the Footer, check out the Footer.php file. You can add Foundation elements to it just like you would any other site.

Try ".top-bar-section .right ul li > a"

jshint doesn't seem to agree with how Foundation and jQuery structure/write JS. They weren't necessarily errors, more like warnings.

I remove jshint from running on Foundation and other vendor files. So this issue should now be resolved.

I believe this is a Foundation related issue, I opened a ticket for it during the beta: https://github.com/zurb/foundation-sites-6/issues/276

@Rafi Benkual, do issues need to be re-opened on the new repo?

I'm sure i can wrap my head around it, I just wanted to make sure this wasn't something built in my default to avoid duplicating functionality.

Thanks!

You can target those sections using ".top-bar-section .left" or ".top-bar-section .right".

  • Where did the foundation 5 docs go?

    By Les Fenison

    I am getting a 404 error on the old URL for the foundation 5 docs. Where did they move to.. Evidently nothing was redirected leaving 404 errors everywhere on the zurb site. Where can I download a custom build of version 5? I don't want 6!!!
