If you search a good alternative to Orbit in order to create an Carousel, I suggest you OWL Carousel.
Here is my demo: http://picotto-wp.urbanjonathan.com/image-gallery/

See you

In my theme Picotto, I integrated a variable.scss file which contains all sass variables than you can manage in the admin panel. This file is included in other .scss file of Zurb's foundation. The compilation is triggered on each variable.scss change using the library scssphp.

For more details, you can download my theme http://picotto-wp.urbanjonathan.com/ cause it should be difficult to explain all workflow process.
See you.
Jonathan.

Hi Harout,
I implemented a proper workflow in order to compile sass code in my Wordpress theme Picotto based on Foundation http://picotto-wp.urbanjonathan.com/
All CSS settings are managed in the advanced panel menu in WP. If a css change is detected when user save modifications, zurb's Foundation sass source are automatically compiled in order to apply change.
My workflow use also scssphp.

See you,
Jonathan

Hi Matthew,

Here is a sample of page header I implemented in my own Wordpress Zurb Foundation Template:
http://picotto-wp.urbanjonathan.com/content-header/

You can configure directly page header and footer from the admin panel as you can see here:
http://picotto-wp.urbanjonathan.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/page-header.png

And here is the code i'm using:
PHP
<div class="<?php echo $section_id; ?>_section<?php echo $container_css_animation; ?>" data-animation="fadeIn" style="min-height:<?php echo $height; ?>px;padding-top:<?php echo $padding_top; ?>px<?php if ( intval( $padding_top ) == 0 ) echo '!important'; ?>;padding-bottom:<?php echo $padding_bottom; ?>px<?php if ( intval( $padding_bottom ) == 0 ) echo '!important'; ?>;background-color: <?php echo $bgcolor; ?>;color:<?php echo $color; ?>;background-image: url(<?php echo $image_url; ?>);">
<div data-animation="fadeInLeft" class="<?php echo $content_css_animation; ?>">
<?php echo do_shortcode( $message ); ?>
</div>
</div>

Hello Douglas.

As you said, Wordpress is a very good Solution in order to able to your clients to edit page content without coding knowledges.
My clients need the same thing and I developped the Wordpress theme Picotto fully based on the Zurb's Foundation 5. Here is a demo:
http://picotto-wp.urbanjonathan.com/

All of these pages were designed in the Wordpress editor thanks to the natives features and the Picotto plugin (like shortcode editor to add some ui control without programming anything !)

Take a look.
See you.

Hi everybody.
Matteo is right !!!
Owl carousel is the best alternative to the old Orbit slider ...
Very simple to integrate, flexible ... you can check my integration to my zurb template here:
