Flex property does not have support for 'safari 5', 'ie 8', 'ie 9', 'ie 10'.
You can add following prefixes for flex property:
    display: -webkit-box;
    display: -ms-flexbox;
    display: flex;

We changed gulpfile as follow:
.pipe($.autoprefixer({
          browsers: ['last 2 versions', 'safari 5', 'ie 8', 'ie 9', 'ie 10', 'opera 12.1', 'Firefox ESR']
}))
But still it's not working for me. The styles related to display property strikes out.
