You're correct. If you have installed everything correctly then open cmd (in windows) or terminal , navigate to your project (cd /where/ever/it/is/my_project) folder and run "bundle" (once) and then "bundle exec compass watch". It should give a message that it is watching... Try to change smth in scss file, e.g. _setting.scss. It should show a message that the file has been changed and changes have been written to css file.

Rafi, why do you consider "sticky" as the proper class for fixed top bar? I consider it proper in cases when "top bar" is located somewhere in the middle of the page, not very top, and there is a need to make it fixed from there. It's all here http://foundation.zurb.com/docs/components/topbar.html

Besides, if the top bar is located at the very top of the page and "sticky" is in use, top bar flickers once at when scrolling. It's not happening with "fixed" class.

I found this http://foundation.zurb.com/forum/posts/214-foundation-5-menutop-bar-toggle-not-working-in-small-screens It's still not fixed.

hmm.. it should automatically push down the content. I believe there is an error in your code. Could you provide us with it?

check if you have installed the correct version of ruby with "ruby -v"
I remember that I had same issues... uninstalling everything and doing it from the beginning with different ruby version helped. I use 1.9.3p545 and it works fine.

Setting everything up might be a real pain... this might help http://www.soholaunch.com/Blog.php?id=85

Rafi, in your example - change "sticky" class to "fixed" and resize the window's width so that mobile menu becomes visible. It's not working correctly after clicking on links. I use the same structure.

I do not use sticky class because it flickers when I start to scroll.

I believe it's a bug in JS. I removed classes from the wrapper and added my own CSS

position:fixed;
z-index:999;

But it needs some extra tweaking to not to overlap the content on the very top..
