Well this is how i use my set up.

Fire up terminal and make sure you have the following installed:

  • Ruby v1.9.x
  • Node 0.10.x

From then you can go ahead and install the bower npm:

 $ npm install -g bower

Then install sass and compass gems, if you have not already using:

$ gem install sass
$ gem install compass

Now, restart terminal, then cd to the root of your htdocs directory, because im using MAMP pro that is essntially /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/ then when youre there run:

$ foundation new <project name>

It should install foundation and its dependencies for you. Of course you can take it forward by using Grunt and LiveReload to your advantage, but that depends on you.
