I would say the project is now at a stage where you can use it as a starting point for projects. I certainly intend to do so. The theme is structured in our company style and uses grunt instead of gulp, and currently only includes the parts of foundation that are necessary for the base theme. More components can be enabled easily by editing /assets/styles/scss/app.scss for styles and /assets/grunt/concat.js for more JS components.

If you use it, please feel free to open issues on github if you think something is broken or missing in the base theme!

I've begun work on such a project here: https://github.com/danielck/genesis-sample-foundation
It is very much in its early stages and is ugly as... well, an ugly thing, and I don't recommend using it yet. It doesn't even include the foundation JS yet. Biggest thing missing is support for menus.

For both of the above: are you loading your _settings.scss before foundation or after? It will only work if settings are loaded after all the foundation files. Also make sure your _settings file doesn't have any !default declarations, because that will be overriden by similar declarations in individual foundation modules.

Hi Joseph. What do you mean by the background of the grid? The grid component in Foundation does not have any background color or image, so you can easily add you own CSS for either.

I have the exact same issue in Firefox, both in the docs and on a site I'm developing. Is there a way to force Clearing to re-draw when the image is loaded?

Could you use dropdowns with some content? http://foundation.zurb.com/docs/components/dropdown.html

Hey, thanks for this! I noticed the .button bug myself, didn't realise it was related to !important. In general using !important anywhere except in state changes is bad, is it really necessary here?

James, that's an awful lot of polyfills you have there for media query support. I seemed to get it to work just with https://code.google.com/p/css3-mediaqueries-js/ and the HTML5shiv. Did you try this or is there something I'm missing?
